Yesterday I met with Caitlin and Natalie, they both have such bursting personalities and are crazy smart. Keep reading to see where they are headed next and what they have accomplish throughout the 4 years at Thornton Academy!
Caitlin is going to UNE for Medical Biology with Pre-MD track in hopes to get her doctorate in medicine. Over Caitlins last four years she was in TA (Thornton Academy) Players and they have been her family away from home. At baccalaureate Caitlin received an accomplishment in honors calculus, excellence in theatre, the honor roll award and the presidential award for Outstanding Academic Excellence. Caitlin also attended Biddeford Regional Center of Technology (BRCOT) where she was inducted to the National Honors Society and was voted Student of the Year for Introduction of Medical Science. She is also a member of the National Honors Society and she is graduating in Magna Cum Laude. For Caitlin theatre, her fellow players and her fellow directors as well (as she was a TA Player director herself) are the ones she is going to miss the most, but cannot wait to see what life brings her next.
Natalie is going to University of Southern Maine for Political Science with a Pre-Law track with a minor in physic and music. Not only was Natalie class president at Thornton Academy during the years of 2016 and 2019, she was also campaign manager for a major election. Natalie was awarded most dedicated singer. She was in two audition choirs and have been playing in the orchestra as a violinist a for over ten years, along with TA Players, Dance and other arts given by Thornton Academy. Natalie is going to miss the close connections with her "family" within the school, but cannot wait to graduate and to have the next chapter to begin.
Congratulations to all the TA students and all other high schools (not only in Maine but around the entire globe) that are graduating today. You did it!
